A SAINT IS BORN
The year was 2020. It seemed like all of a sudden, but before we knew it we were confined to our homes. The only places we could or even wanted to go to were to the grocery store, gas stations, doctors offices and a few other essential places. Because we were limited in the places we could visit and our interaction with the public virtually ceased, clothing became one of the safe ways to send a message. Saints and Psalms was formed to use clothing as a vehicle to send across positive messages not only to our consumers, but to the public who come in contact with our consumers.
All of our patterned collections are roundly made in Nigeria in woman-owned factories. Our fabrics are sourced from different African countries, notably Cotonou. The message we send across by deliberately choosing to partner with African businesswomen in the continent is that we value women-owned small businesses and we want to empower entrepreneurship at different scales. By creating this global partnership we are expanding their network, selling-power and ability to create more employment opportunities for locals.
All of our T-shirts carry bold messages centered around goodness, equality and social responsibility, tied together by the theme of sainthood. We believe that goodness is universal and inclusive. The T shirts inspire goodness and aim to spotlight those virtues in people of color that have often been been overlooked. If we all treated everyone with kindness, virtue and patience, the world would be a more peaceful place where people of every creed, color and, age are treated with dignity and respect.
Let’s get the conversation going with one of our T Shirts today. Click here to find the message the resonates with you the most!
